Question: What is "Buy Out" music ?
Answer: This is music in which you "Buy Out" the mechanical copyright at the time of purchase or lease of the CD. Every time you use the CD on a production there is no need to fill in a form and make a payment to the Mechanical Copyright Protection Society (MCPS).

Note: You still need to give the PRS (Performing Rights Society) details when requested, but this does not usually involve you in any extra payment, since PRS is paid by the broadcaster as a blanket licence.
